Roam’s MegaWay Can Fulfill Large-Scale Urban Mass Transit Needs

MegaWay Mass Transit systems are well-suited for large, very dense cities. High-capacity urban transit MegaWay systems offer passenger movement capacities similar to that of heavy rail mass transit systems such as subways. These systems operate on the full-size SuperWay guideways and use larger, 20-ft 30-passenger cars. Because of the unique SuperWay communications and control system, trains and later, single automated cars can operate at much shorter headways than other types of large mass transit system, allowing for very high passenger throughput.

Manually Controlled MegaWay Urban Mass Transit Option

Now available, manually-controlled MegaWay high-capacity mass transit services at significantly lower cost and time to service than either heavy or light rail systems. The 30-passenger, air-conditioned coaches provide seating for 16 passengers each. The coaches run on rubber tires that roll on continuous steel road surfaces located inside the enclosed SuperWay guideways for all-weather operation. Passengers are assured a vibration-free, low-noise ride. The low-profile, stainless-steel SuperWay resembles a pair of small monorails and is always elevated over street rights of way so that there is no impact on street traffic. As a general rule, no added right of way is required to install the elevated SuperWays.

Commuter SuperWay Service

Now available, manually-controlled, MegaWay Commuter Rail trains offer fast (85-mph) commuter transport at significantly lower cost and time to service than conventional heavy car and passenger commuter systems. The 12-passenger air-conditioned cars provide seats for all passengers. (No standing) The self-propelled coaches run on rubber tires that roll on continuous steel road surfaces located inside enclosed wheelway tubes for all-weather operation. Passengers are assured a vibration-free, low-noise ride. CarFerries also carry passengers in their own cars as parts of the MegaWay trains.

The low-profile, stainless-steel SuperWay resembles a pair of small monorails and is always elevated over existent street and freeway rights-of-way so that there is no impact on street and road traffic. Railroad lines are not used, and station locations are not restricted to railroad routes. As a general rule, no additional right-of-way is required for MegaWay system installation.
